Of Mice and Men – Chapter 2

Lennie realizes that this is a bad place for him, George ignores his feelings because they need the work. Lennie could have difficulties on the ranch because of the people who already don’t like him, people who are suspicious of him, and the “purty” girl.

George: More complicated than he appears, seems simple, but subconciously has a feeling about disliking Lennie and changes his decision making process.

Curly: He dreams that everyone thinks that he is the manliest man around.  Uses his wife as a trophy to make him seem more manly.

Candy: Candy’s dream was not to work on an old ranch, but he got his hand chopped up and many other events led him there. (Like the old women who like to gossip)
